Betty's Suite at Trail Creek Ranch is our most coveted and requested. The views from this room are unrivaled. The big picture windows look out onto our hay fields and pastures, on to the Gros Ventre Mountain Range and the infamous "Sleeping Indian". This luxury suite has a king bed (or twins if you prefer), a lovely sitting area, kitchenette and full bath with oversized tub. In summer, a wonderful sitting porch where you can watch the world go by– you’ll not want to go in!
"We stayed in Betty's suite 5 nights in early May. It's hard to describe how beautiful the property is. Because there are so few cabins you feel like you have the whole ranch to yourself. "Check in" is when you see the owner in the driveway and she gives you the keys and shows you your cabin. It honestly feels like you're staying with friends.
The cabins are cozy, comfortable and nicely outfitted and decorated. Huge bathroom with a very large tub. Comfortable bed. The kitchenette was a huge benefit---small fridge/freezer, toaster, microwave and coffee pot.
This is a working ranch so you sit on your porch, drink coffee (stronger stuff in evening) and relax as the only sounds you can hear are the horses or the adjacent stream. There's just something about stepping off the porch and feeding the horses.
There are many hiking trails literally out the back door. The trailhead is a 5 minute walk.
Wilson is a 4 minute drive and Jackson about 10-15 minutes.
My wife and I travel a lot, and I can honestly say this was one of the most relaxing, beautiful vacations we've ever had. Alex the owner and Jules were simply amazing and friendly. We definitely plan on coming back!"
