Stay with us at the Historic Trail Creek Ranch

270 acres of protected beauty.
Trail Creek Ranch, a jewel in the spectacular paradise of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. At an elevation of 6,280 feet, our cabins are tucked into the mountains so beautifully you would never know you were only minutes from our little town of Wilson or the bustling hub of Jackson.
Step into a simpler, quieter time. Beautiful views all around, horses happily eating, wildlife coming and going. This is the real deal - an authentic guest ranch that has been greeting guests for over 70 years. Summer or winter there is no prettier place to be.

ne of the most unique and beautiful places in the country. Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, the Snake River, wildlife, adventure - the possibilities are endless.

Private one and two bedroom cabins, suites and simple guest rooms keep our guests coming back year after year. Kitchens or kitchenettes, full private baths, comfortable beds donned with yummy pressed sheets and fluffy down comforters for the cool nights. Sitting porches to enjoy the clean mountain air. You'll find your home away from home in the mountains.
Trail Creek Ranch is a private, clean, beautiful environment that is easily accessible. We liked the casual style and trust between you and the guests. We look forward to a return visit.

Loved the room – very cozy and beds are very comfortable. Beautiful ranch – love the view and the land.
We highly recommend Trail Creek for anyone looking for a peaceful escape to enjoy the beauty of the mountains. Trail Creek is very laid back and family oriented.

Amazing Winter Destination! My wife and I just got back from an amazing stay at this historic ranch in winter! It’s gorgeous with a nice blanket of snow, and the rooms are cozy and comfortable! The views right out of our bedroom were spectacular! Our hosts were gracious, kind and happy to provide the local knowledge that made our stay even more special. We saw a variety of wildlife, from the horses that live in the pasture, to elk and moose that pass through the ranch occasionally. If you’re there to ski at Jackson Hole, you’ll be closer here than if you stayed downtown, and it’s a short drive to a big park-and-ride where you can catch the free shuttle buses the rest of the way to the resort and avoid parking hassles. There’s also amazing cross-country skiing right out of the ranch! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and highly recommend it!

Best ski touring lodging in the world! We stayed with my wife and two kids. Skied, watched wildlife, enjoyed a total wilderness lodging experience in complete comfort. Escaped the Jackson craziness into our little perfect world at Trail Creek Ranch. Clean, easy, perfect, friendly.

Amazing, peaceful property. My husband and I stayed in the Suite for 5 nights at the beginning of September. I am a horse person so sitting on my porch every morning watching the horses grazing, running around and being wrangled to come in was amazing. The view from our Suite was amazing. We saw Moose and Bear walking across the fields and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It is such a beautiful setting. Everything was clean and comfortable and Alex, Mugs and all of the staff were so welcoming and friendly. We loved every minute of our stay and would love to come back again! Thank you!!
Love Everything about Trail Creek Ranch Our cabin was nestled in the forest with incredible views all around. Everybody we spoke to was helpful, friendly and did their utmost to make sure we were comfortable and happy during our stay. We will definitely visit Trail Creek Ranch again.

Alex's Cabin/Trail Creek Ranch I almost hesitate to post this review for fear future availability might be more competitive. However, our stay at Trail Creek Ranch was so wonderful, I feel I owe it to fellow travelers to share our experience. If you are seeking to relax in a beautiful setting with amazing mountain views surrounded by wildlife, horses and ranch animals with crisp clean air and delicious drinking water from mountain streams, then Trail Creek is the place. Convenient to Jackson and the town of Wilson along with the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone, you will be able to enjoy town activities, good restaurants and shopping all the while retiring to a serene setting for rest and relaxation. The property owners are delightful, helpful if needed, but also good at respecting privacy. The ranch history is very interesting and you will be happy to be a part of it, if only for a short stay. The cabin was clean, efficient, comfortable and cozy. All provisions for cooking were available (but it was a vacation, I indulged in all the good local restaurants). One night we had a catered meal from a great place in Wilson. We did a few easy breakfasts...but tried our best to stay out of the kitchen. A really nice feature is the washer and dryer making it easy to pack lightly. The master bed was comfortable and warm allowing us to sleep in cool temperatures (20 degrees) with windows slightly open for a delicious night's sleep. One morning enjoying our coffee, we had a moose walk right in front of our cabin. And while the hiking in the National Parks is great, it was good to have developed trails ascending Teton Pass just behind the ranch property. We are making this an annual destination! So maybe you better make your reservation now, LOL.
From the first-day greeting to the lilacs in the cabin, Trail Creek Ranch is top-notch with every detail considered. Our family of 4 adored the Wyllis cabin and it was the perfect way to end our week in Teton National Park. Thanks to Alex, Bill, and the TCR crew for making us feel welcome and comfortable. We plan to highly recommend Trail Creek Ranch to our friends and hope to make it back some day!
I cannot say enough about our 3 night stay at Trail Creek Ranch. Our hosts Alex and Mike were so hospitable and made us feel like home from the moment we arrived. We stayed at the cabin “The Ritz” and it was perfect for our family of 4. There is a bedroom upstairs with 2 twin beds and then the queen room down. A grill, coffee maker, mini fridge, and small kitchen with dishes, utensils etc. would have allowed for us to cook if we had wanted to. But we chose to eat at the several amazing restaurants nearby. Wilson is a 1.5 mile drive with some incredible places - Nora’s Fishcreek for breakfast is a must! And Streetcar is an excellent choice with a great variety of quality food from Tacos, hamburgers, Poke bowls, fresh salads, and more. Or head into Jackson for more great choices - Snake River Brewing is recommended. We also were able to book a Wildlife safari with Brush Buck into the Tetons and it was incredible. We saw a grizzly and 4 cubs, a moose, mule deer, elk, pronghorn, and marmots. The boys also had an AMAZING guided fishing expedition up to Jenny lake (the Snake River is not fishable this time of year but the lake trout was abundant!). But back to the ranch. The Ritz cabin is adorable with a screened-in porch, fireplace, winding staircase and HUGE open windows that allowed us to admire the incredible view. Lilacs were left for us upon our arrival. The property is a horse ranch. Also there are a bunch of other cabins to choose from so if you need something larger, etc. check out the website. The horses are from private borders so you can’t ride them, but you can feed them apples or carrots; which was the highlight of our experience here. Just spending time with the horses, walking trails, etc. There are several trailheads 1/2 mi up the road from the ranch, which one leads you up to to an incredible calm lake at the top of Teton Pass. I would HIGHLY recommend this amazing gem in Jackson Hole. It was the perfect place to rest and experience being on a horse ranch and enjoying the majesty of the Tetons. I cannot thank Alex and Mike enough for everything!!! Read less
We've stayed in many places around the world, and Kevin and I agree that Alex's cabin at Trail Creek Ranch was the very best of all. We had a very special and memorable week.

Places to eat

Wilson is small, but mighty when it comes to food and restaurants. Right in downtown Wilson (3 minutes from the Ranch) you will find Nora's Fish Creek Ranch - a James Beard recipient (have the Huevos), Pearl Street Bagel (the everything with herb), Rations - cool new lunch place at the uptown gas station, StreetFood at the Stagecoach Bar (tacos or bowls) and Chippy's (whatever she has!). Further afoot on the Teton Village Road is Persephone Bakery (anything!), and The Calico Restaurant (anything, again!).

Lots of options in Jackson, too. You will not go hungry!
