Area Activites

Situated in one of the most unique spots in the mountain states, outdoor possibilities are unlimited. Our guests come to experience all things – all at once, or they come back year after year to try out new activities.

We are located just minutes from our little town of Wilson, where you can acquire sundries for your stay at our local general store – Hungry Jacks. Wilson is also the home of The Stagecoach Bar, where you can go to western swing dance with the locals every Sunday night – famous for the Stagecoach Band, who has played every Sunday night for over 45 years!

Only 12 miles from the town of Jackson, your jumping off spot for whitewater rafting and spectacular Scenic floats on the Snake River, world class Fly Fishing trips, the JH Rodeo, held every Wednesday and Saturday night between Memorial and Labor days, galleries, and lots of shopping for all tastes and ages.

Fifteen minutes away is Teton Village, home of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, where the aerial tram runs seven days a week. This is a great place to start a hike, find some summer snow or enjoy the high altitude and late summer wildflowers. This is where The Grand Teton Music Festival takes place. Chamber Music during the week, with the Symphony playing on Friday and Saturday nights. Musicians from all over the world come for the summer every year to play, study, and enjoy the Valley.

There are restaurants for every taste and craving. From the best barbecue ribs to elegant, romantic dining. Jackson and the area has it all. Just tell us what you’re in the mood for and we’ll recommend the place for it!!

Of course, the highlight of being here in Jackson Hole is to enjoy our Parks. Grand Teton National Park is only 25 minutes from the Ranch and is a resource that we cherish. There is spectacular hiking, for the young and young at heart. Sights that will take your breath away. For the more adventurous, there is mountain climbing – Exum Mountain Guides can show you the ropes and then lead you on an adventure of a lifetime.

Nearby Yellowstone National Park is well worth a trip. The lower loop is a good full day excursion and we’ll send you off as early as we can to ensure the best possible chance of seeing wildlife and to avoid the traffic.

There are also Guided Tours that you can hire to take you through both Grand Teton and Yellowstone Parks. Wildlife Expeditions has wonderful programs and will load you with information about this area.
